A most delicious journey: Join us to explore the extraordinary world of Italian gelato.  Trip features include:

They say adversity is the mother of inventionóso we have put together our Ninth Annual Gelato Tour in a new way. Because the Euro is out of sight making travel in Europe really expensive for Americans, we have designed our trip to eliminate the anxiety of the increasing cost of the Euro, especially when you are in Italy. The cost of the trip includes roundtrip airfare from Liberty Newark International Airport to Italy, 4-star hotels, 5 days of breakfast and fantastic dinners, entrance to the SIGEP Convention (now in its 31st year) and private hands-on gelato workshops. Come with us and you wonít have to worry about the increasing Euro and other worrisome details.

Once you board the airplane, you wonít have to reach into your pocket and spend one more penny, except for your own shopping, incidentals and gratuities. Look at our video of the 2009 Gelato Tour of Italy and see how you too can share in enjoying and being with us for our 2010 tour.
    The tour features two plans:

Plan 1: five nights- six days, January 21-27 - to experience the worldís largest, most exciting gelato and confectionery convention, in Rimini, with a two-day stopover in Bologna. Exclusive workshops in Rimini will include a Carpigiani workshop on how to make gelato from scratch using a Carpigiani batch freezer and pasteurizer. In Bologna, after the convention, you will attend an exclusive hands-on, four-hour workshop at the finest (in our opinion) gelateria in all of Italy -La Sorbetteria. You will use the Cattabriga pasteurizer to create the base and EFFE Cattabriga vertical batch freezer to produce the finished gelato product using the most natural ingredients. There will be time to tour Bologna and shop on your own. Cost is $2,995.

Plan 2: Rimini only: three nights- four days, January 21-25 - to experience the amazing SIGEP convention (2 ½ days) and exclusive workshops with Carpigiani on how to make gelato from scratch using a Carpigiani batch freezer and pasteurizer. Cost is $2,295.

The SIGEP convention is a merchandising mecca offering the perfect opportunity to buy packaging and ingredients direct from Italy. The convention is a gathering place to learn new ideas, taste new flavors from so many manufacturers, find that special equipment you are looking for, and talk directly with the experts.

Since 2001, Malcolm Stogo has been bringing people from all over the world to Rimini - both in the industry and those who are thinking about going into the incredible ice cream/gelato business. In 2008, 23 very excited gelato entrepreneurs descended on Italy and had an adventure of a lifetime at SIGEP. The Ninth Annual Gelato Tour of Italy is sponsored by the most prominent batch freezer company in the world, the Carpigiani Group, headquartered in Bologna. With their co-sponsorship, the tour promises to be an outstanding learning experience. Malcolm Stogo Associates is the U.S. representative for SIGEP, which translates to personalized, VIP treatment for our participants at the convention.

So this is your chance to experience the joys of smelling, seeing and eating Italian gelatoó the best in the world with the experts. Have we sparked your interest? We hope so.
