We knew that when we were planning our first food and wine tour of Italy four years ago it would be a terrific experience.
- It was beyond our wildest expectations.
We are very pleased to announce our second “Malcolm’s Specialty Food Tour of Italy” scheduled for October 7-15, 2010.
This is one of the loveliest times to be in Italy: the weather is perfect, the people are delightful, the food is fabulous, and the wine is being harvested.
Italy is the wine and food capital of the world and our 2010 tour will feature three amazing food and wine areas:
- Tuscany
- Bologna
- Lake Garda/Verona
The 8-day tour includes:
- Non-stop air to JFK/New York to Pisa and non-stop back to USA from Venice to New York.
- Two cooking classes (Tuscany and Bologna).
- Wine tours and tastings in Tuscany and Lake Garda.
- Four-star hotels in the historic centers near Siena, in Bologna, and in Verona.
- Daily Italian breakfast.
- Three unique lunches.
- Four fabulous dinners.
- Private tour bus driven by our long-time driver and friend, Alex, who will meet us in Pisa and tell us all about the places we are visiting in English.
You will have an opportunity to learn about (and make) gelato from international ice cream consultant and tour leader Malcolm Stogo, and understand the wines of the country from Ezio Vippolis, our very own wine specialist. We will have private tours and cooking classes with Italy’s finest including Giacomo and Marina Schavion, who are artisan chocolate and gelato makers (you have never tasted better), Alexandro and Nicoleta Landini, owners of Fattoria Viticcio Winery, and Giovanni Tamburini, proprietor of the world famousTamburini, to name just a few.
What is special about our tour is that we know the owners personally and they treat us like family, and you will travel with the experts.
Throughout the trip, we will introduce you to food experts through cooking classes and specialty shops. The tour works for one person traveling alone (you won’t be alone), couples, as well as small groups of friends and/or relatives getting together to join the tour. However you work it out, don’t miss this outstanding opportunity to experience three amazing regions through their food and wines— Tuscany, Bologna and Verona.
We look forward to hearing from you.
If you want to take advantage of our $350 per person discount, sign up by March 31st.
